Fred. Olsen Renewables team on hand to answer questions and collect comments
Leading independent renewable energy developer, Fred. Olsen Renewables is set to host three public events in February to unveil plans for Invercassley Wind Farm. The project, located 5km north-west of Rosehall in Sutherland, would consist of a maximum of 22 turbines up to 230m high and 30MW of battery storage – bringing with them a community benefit fund of more than £25m during the lifetime of the project.
Local residents are encouraged to attend the forthcoming events, which will take place in February, where they will have the opportunity to meet with members of the Fred. Olsen Renewables project team, examine the visual representations of the project and provide their valuable feedback.
Laura Bell, Project Manager at Fred. Olsen Renewables, commented:
“In response to community feedback we have altered the exhibition times and locations we were originally considering. As a result, these will now be held in three local venues - ensuring we can capture a wide range of local audiences.”
"We look forward to welcoming local residents to the first round of exhibitions. These events provide an excellent opportunity for the local community to learn more about our plans, have their questions answered and to provide their feedback.
"The comments that we gather at these events will help to inform the wind farm design. I encourage everyone with an interest in the plans to drop in and meet the team.”

Bonar Bridge Community Hall, Lairg Road, Bonar Bridge IV24 3EA
